Privacy Policy

EduSecure collects the data needed to run secure learning: name, phone number, optional email, and internal account and user IDs that we use for sign-in, permissions, and linking instructors, students and materials.

When an instructor chooses to add students from contacts, only the selected and reviewed contact names and phone numbers are sent. EduSecure does not upload the full address book.

Content data includes instructor-uploaded PDF materials and student study content such as private notes, highlights, bookmarks, pen marks and reading progress inside learning materials.

We record activity needed to operate and protect the service: material opens, last page and reading progress, activity events, and print attempts with their status, such as completed, cancelled or failed.

We collect device and service information such as device type or model, operating system and version, app version, locale, time zone, EduSecure installation or device ID, and last seen time. We may use IP address and approximate country for security and reliability; EduSecure does not collect GPS location.

We use this data for secure sign-in, OTP delivery, instructor/student access, showing only allowed groups and files, learning progress, PDF protection, print auditing, support, service reliability and security.

Processors include Twilio for SMS OTP, Resend for email and our hosting provider for the app, database and files. EduSecure does not use ads, advertising tracking or sell personal data.

PDF materials are protected by blocking direct upload access and by not providing unauthorized share or download features. Account, content and activity data is retained while the account exists. Activity events, reading progress and print audit logs are kept until account deletion.

You can request account deletion in the app or through the public account deletion page. Deletion enters the configured grace period first, then becomes permanent after the period ends; phone and email stay reserved until final purge.
